Coming to US&A (1)

Ok as I promised I am going to start writing about my story when I was moving to the US&A. However, before doing that I should explain couple of things so you know where everything started. This part is like a manual so read it carefully since I’m not going to explain it again.
I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Hold on now, don’t be smart and call me names such as terrorist or stuff like that. Oh don’t even try to tell me go back where you came from since a background check will show that if I have to move back to where I belong to so is you unless you are an Indian American. So don’t be smart around me since I will outplay you (sorry for the harsh words because I am sure there are people that think this way). Ok back to where I grew up. Anyway I grew up in Iran, a great country with great people but corrupt politicians (but they are way smarter than Bush). So I say corrupt politicians, which is one of the reasons that I moved out from that country are those people. Basically they mixed religion with politics and make living like hell for all other religious minorities. Anyway when I graduated from high school I think I was smart enough to get in to university majoring in agriculture engineering. Well just a quick note that entering in a university is not like here in USA. You got to pass a three hours test containing eight different subjects such as; Farsi grammar, English grammar, Arabic grammar, religious studies, physics, chemistry, math (included Algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus and statistics) and biology. Isn’t it fun? Yes we went thru hell to graduate from high school and to get into university. So as I was saying I got into agriculture engineering in a university 7 hours outside of Tehran (my hometown). I was in my 3rd year of studies and couple of semesters away from graduating that a new law came out allowing us to buy our mandatory 2 years of military service but in order to do so I had to quit the school. It was a win-win situation for me. I wasted a 3 years in university (there were no jobs for my major…lol…) and I was buying 2 years of my life that was going to be wasted in the military bases. So buying the military service meant that I could get a passport to get out of country. Some of my relatives were here in US so I decided to come here and start my education again. However, to do so I didn’t have many options. I could not get a visa because of my age, nor could I get a student visa which was almost impossible. Therefore, there were only one way left and that was to come here as a refugee. For that reason we had to go to Austria where the United Nations had an office for immigrants who wanted to go to USA. Now there was one little problem. How to get to Austria? Again for my age they wouldn’t give me a visa to travel in Europe. Moreover, my country of citizenship was Iran and that was raising a red flag for all those countries in Europe including Austria…
Ok I guess that’s enough for today…hopefully I will write the rest in some other time.
